How to Apply Toys CPC Certification

CPC certification, namely children's product certificate, is an important certification to ensure the safety of children's products, which is suitable for children aged 12 and below, such as toys, children's clothing, etc.

Before applying for CPC certification, you need to be familiar with and understand the relevant child product safety standards, especially the rules and guidelines of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

These standards and regulations are the basic requirements that the product must meet.

Prepare application materials

CPC certification application: fill in the product name, model, technical parameters and information describing the product characteristics.

Product drawings: Provide structure and assembly drawings of the product to demonstrate product compliance with safety requirements.

Product instructions: including the product use instructions, precautions, safety warning and operation instructions.

Trademark and patent certificate: If the product contains a trademark or patent, the corresponding certificate should be provided to prove its legitimacy.

Producer's quality manual and test report: The quality manual shall contain the production process and quality control information of the product, and the test report proves that the

product meets the relevant safety standards.

Product cost analysis: Provide the cost analysis of the product to justify the certification cost and the product cost (this step may vary according to the requirements of the specific certification body).

Submit the application and send the samples

Submit the prepared application materials to the professional third-party certification body, and send the product samples to the designated laboratory for testing.

Ensure that all the materials are complete and authentic.

Review and inspection

Data review: The certification body will conduct a preliminary review of the application materials and, if necessary, will require supplementary materials.

On-site inspection or inspection: the certification body may arrange on-site inspection or inspection to ensure that the product complies with the relevant regulatory requirements.

This step may include a comprehensive inspection of the production environment, production process and quality of the product.

Issuing of certificates

If the product meets the relevant standards and regulations after testing, review and inspection, the certification body will issue a CPC certification certificate.

The certificate shall contain product details, details of the applicant and US importer (if applicable), date of production and manufacturer address, met test standards, and test laboratory and test date.
