CPSC 16CFR Test requirements
Exporters or manufacturers should have a thorough understanding of the specific provisions on toy safety in the CPSC 16CFR.
These regulations cover mechanical physical properties, combustion properties, chemical properties, labeling and packaging!
CPSC 16CFR Test requirements:
1. Physical and mechanical tests: check the small parts, edges, tips / ends, and protrusions of the toy to ensure that children will not cause suffocation or injury.
2. Combustion performance test: evaluate the flammability of the toy to ensure that the toy material will not burn easily.
3. Chemical test: to detect harmful chemicals in toy materials, such as lead, cadmium, phthalates, etc., to ensure that their content is below the safety standards.
4. Electrical safety test: For live toys, check the safety of electrical components to prevent electric shock and fire risk.
5. Noise test: Make sure that the noise generated by the toys does not cause damage to children's hearing.
6. Toxicology assessment: Assess whether the toy material is toxic to ensure that there is no negative impact on children's health.
7. Labeling and packaging requirements: Check whether the labels and packaging of the toys contain the necessary warnings and instructions to guide the parents and guardians to use the toys correctly.
