CPSC 16CFR Test requirements

Exporters or manufacturers should have a thorough understanding of the specific provisions on toy safety in the CPSC 16CFR.

These regulations cover mechanical physical properties, combustion properties, chemical properties, labeling and packaging!

CPSC 16CFR Test requirements:

1. Physical and mechanical tests: check the small parts, edges, tips / ends, and protrusions of the toy to ensure that children will not cause suffocation or injury.

2. Combustion performance test: evaluate the flammability of the toy to ensure that the toy material will not burn easily.

3. Chemical test: to detect harmful chemicals in toy materials, such as lead, cadmium, phthalates, etc., to ensure that their content is below the safety standards.

4. Electrical safety test: For live toys, check the safety of electrical components to prevent electric shock and fire risk.

5. Noise test: Make sure that the noise generated by the toys does not cause damage to children's hearing.

6. Toxicology assessment: Assess whether the toy material is toxic to ensure that there is no negative impact on children's health.

7. Labeling and packaging requirements: Check whether the labels and packaging of the toys contain the necessary warnings and instructions to guide the parents and guardians to use the toys correctly.
