What kind of products should do EMC testing
The following types of products typically require an EMC testing
1. Home appliances: such as TVS, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens, rice cookers, etc. These products may produce electromagnetic radiation or electromagnetic interference by other electrical appliances in daily use.
2. Information technology equipment: including personal computers, servers, routers, switches, printers, scanners, mobile phones, tablet computers, notebook computers, etc., these devices are sensitive to the electromagnetic environment and may produce electromagnetic interference.
3. Industrial control and automation equipment: PLC (programmable logic controller), DCS (decentralized control system), frequency converter, motor driver, industrial robots, etc., these equipment operate in the industrial environment, the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility are very high.
4. Medical equipment: electrocardiogram machine, monitor, ultrasonic diagnostic instrument, hemodialysis machine, etc. The electromagnetic compatibility of medical equipment is directly related to the patient's life safety and the accurate operation of the equipment.
5. Automotive electronics: vehicle audio, navigation system, engine control system, safety system (such as ABS, ESP), etc. The EMC performance of automotive electronic products is directly related to the safety and reliability of the vehicle.
6. Lighting equipment: LED lamps, fluorescent lamps, energy-saving lamps, etc., especially intelligent lighting systems, need to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility with other smart home devices.
7. Military and aerospace equipment: radar, communication equipment, navigation system, satellites, uav vehicles, etc. These equipment work in extreme electromagnetic environment and have extremely high requirements for EMC performance.
8. Radio communication products: mobile phone base station, radio broadcasting and transmitting equipment, walkie-talkie, wireless remote control, etc., these products need to meet
the EMC requirements of radio spectrum management agencies.
The purpose of EMC testing is to ensure that the design, production, and use without unacceptable electromagnetic interference from other equipment or systems.
This helps to improve the overall quality of products, protect user safety, and meet the requirements of laws and regulations.
