What is EN71

The EU EN71 series toy safety standard, which is the EU market specification standard for toys, is a set of precise testing requirements and specifications developed by CEN (European Standardization Committee) for the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48EC (previously 88/378/EEC). The majority of toy product categories are covered by the EN71 series standards, which include indicators pertaining to environmental protection and toy safety. All toys sold in the EU must pass the EN71 testing requirements.
