Test of metal migration in rubber products

Test of metal migration in rubber products intended for reuse in food contact materials

The test standard is: US FDA 21 CRF 177.2600

Main equipment used in the test: water bath heater, inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer (ICP-OES)

State adjustment of the sample: The sample should be placed in an environment of 15-30℃ temperature and 40%-80% relative humidity for 24h

(Here you can take a thermometer and a sample)

Test process: According to the actual use conditions of the samples, the silica gel tableware was placed in a beaker, and an appropriate amount of deionized water was added. The silica gel tableware was heated at a constant temperature in a 40℃ water bath heater for 1 hour. After 1 hour, it was taken out and cooled to room temperature for testing

Now start the on-board test, open the inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer and stabilize the instrument. After the instrument is stabilized, the analysis will be carried out

A. Analyze the standard elements and use them to draw the standard working curve

B. Conduct sample analysis and perform quantitative analysis using the prepared elemental standard working curve

C. The migration amount of various metals was calculated according to the quantitative results
