Electric blankets must obtain CE certification to export to the EU

CE certification is a mandatory certification mark for products entering the European market indicating that the product meets the basic requirements of the EU's Technical Coordination and Standardization New Method Directive.

The CE certification access model adopted by the EU market for electric blankets includes the following five parts:
Low voltage instruction (LVD 2014/35/EU): Ensure the safe use of electric blankets under low voltage.
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMCD 2014/30/EU): to ensure that the electric blanket does not produce electromagnetic interference to other electronic devices when used.
Energy efficiency Directive (ErP): requires electric blankets to meet certain energy efficiency standards to reduce energy consumption.
Directive to limit the use of certain harmful components in electronic and electrical products (RoHS): limits the use of certain harmful substances, such as lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, etc., in electric blankets.
Electronic and Electrical Waste Directive (WEEE): to regulate the disposal of electronic and electrical products such as electric blankets in order to reduce environmental pollution.
In addition, the EU coordination standard directives involved in electric blankets mainly include EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-17, EN 55014, EN 61000, etc.
