Lithium Battery UN38.3

 UN38.3 refers to the United Nations for dangerous goods transportation of the United Nations dangerous goods transportation test and standard manual of part 38.3, namely requires lithium battery transportation, must through height simulation, high and low temperature cycle, vibration test, shock test, external short circuit, impact test, charging test, forced discharge test, to ensure the safety of lithium battery transportation. If the lithium battery is not installed with the equipment, it must also pass the 1.2 m free drop test.

According to DGR (Dangerous Goods Transport Rules), the premise of air transportation of lithium batteries according to general goods is that there must be a test report issued by a third-party testing and identification institution that meets the requirements of UN38.3, otherwise the airline cannot collect and transport it.
