Gas corrosion testing for electronic products 2

The test method usually consists of two test procedures, depending on whether the test gas contains chlorine and whether the method of measuring the chlorine concentration is disturbed by other gases.

Test Procedure 1 (no chlorine or chlorine concentration measurement without interference):

1. Inject the wet air and adjust the stable temperature and humidity.

2. Introduce various corrosive gases into the wet air and stabilize them.

3. Measure and adjust the gas concentration to ensure that it is within the specified range.

4. The copper monitor sheet was exposed to the test environment together with the test sample.

5. Keep the temperature, humidity and gas concentration within the specified limits during the test.

6. Remove the test samples and corrosion monitoring materials after the test.

Test Procedure 2 (with chlorine and disturbed chloride concentration measurement):

1. Similar to the first three steps of program 1, but first import the Cl2 alone and stabilize its concentration.

2. Introduce other gases and stabilize, and then mix the gas exposure.

3. During the test, special attention was paid to the measurement of the chlorine concentration to ensure that it remained within the specified range at the end of the test.

The gas corrosion test of electronic products usually refer to the following standards:

ISO 21207: Corrosion test in artificial atmosphere, especially the accelerated corrosion test in alternately exposed to corrosive gas, neutral salt spray and dry environment.

GB/T 2423 series standards: including GB/T 2423.51-2000 (idt IEC 68-2-60:1995), GB/T 2423.33-2005, etc., for detailed environmental tests of electrical and electronic products.
