Definition of Thermal Shock Test
Thermal Shock test is used to assess the adaptability of products to the rapid changes of the surrounding environmental temperature. It is an indispensable test in the identification test of equipment design and routine test in the batch production stage. In some cases, it can also be used for environmental stress screening test.
It can be said that the frequency of Thermal Shock test chamber is second only to vibration and high and low temperature test in verifying and improving the environmental adaptability of equipment.
Common implementation criteria:
1. GJB 150-86 Environmental Test Methods for Military Equipment
2. GB 2423 The Basic Environmental Testing Procedures for Electrical and Electronic Products
3. US Military Standard MIL-STD-810F, Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Testing
Experiment requirements
Start temperature requirements
Although the general hot and cold impact test standards for the starting temperature of cold and cold impact test does not mention or do not make hard rules, but this is the test must consider the problem, because involves the end of the test in low temperature or high temperature state, which determines whether to dry the product, leading to extend the test time.
If the test product is taken out from the cold temperature impact test box (chamber), it shall be recovered under normal test atmospheric conditions until the temperature of the sample is stable, inevitably causing the effect of condensation on the surface of the test sample on the product.
Thus changing the nature of the test.
