Introduction of UL62368 standard

UL62368 is the latest international product safety standard, covering audio-visual, consumer electronics and technology products; will completely replace the current UL 60950-1 and UL 60065 in the next few years.



UL62368-1 International standards must be legally binding after regional and national announcements.

The mandatory date of the original announcement was extended from June 20,2019 to December 20,2020, which is the mandatory date of the second edition of UL62368-1 and the date of the abolition of UL60950-1 and UL60065.

Note that according to the timing of the US UL mark for "market", as long as the product goes on sale must meet the regulations, indicating that the product will not be able to enter the EU market with UL60950-1 and UL60065 standards from December 20,2020.

That is to say, after December 20,2020, audio and video, information technology products can only apply for EN62368, not UL60950 and UL60065.
