Explain why should do salt spray tests with the examples around us

Most electronic products personal or otherwise are used these days in a wide variety of environments from rainy Florida like to hot and dry like in Arizona or other deserts to arctic conditions, as well as in the ocean atmosphere and space environments. Besides , if you open any electronic products you will see processors, memory chips and others being connected through PCBs which has relatively circuits and other connections open to the environment. They all have potential to corrode. Beside there are so many different metals and materials used and can set up galvanic couples in humid atmosphere and can lead to corrosion. As a minimum it is good to run salt spray tests to understand the potential for corrosion and take actions to protect those areas of the product.
