EU REACH Registration Certification / SVHC Height Substances Test Report
REACH is the EU regulation on the registration, assessment, authorization and restriction of chemicals, which came into force on 1 June 2007. The aim is to ensure a high level of human health and environmental protection, promote the free circulation of chemicals in the EU market, and improve the competitiveness and innovation capacity.
REACH The scope of the regulation is broad. It covers almost all of the commercial products of non-food, feed and medicine. Consumer products, such as clothing and footwear, jewelry, electronic and electrical products, toys, furniture, and health and beauty products are within the scope of REACH regulations. In short, all products manufactured in, or imported into, the EU must meet all applicable REACH requirements.
If any chemical reaches a threshold of one ton per year, the manufacturer and importer must apply for registration, whether the chemical itself exists as a chemical, or as part of a mixture, or as a substance or mixture released from the article. Since only individuals in the EU or companies established in the EU can submit REACH registration, non-EU companies wishing to register a chemical need to act through the appointment of a sole representative (OR). The European Chemical Management Agency is responsible for assessing the information submitted by the registry.
